Farmer Led Agroforestry in Mexico Coffee Lands

Grow Ahead is partnering with The Coalition of Ejidos of the Costa Grande of Guerrero, a network of rural communities in the municipality of Atoyac de Álvarez, Guerrero. Throughout Latin America, coffee rust fungus, La Roya in Spanish, decimates hundreds or thousands of acres of farm land. The project aims to plant 75,000 trees to rehabilitate coffee farms affected by La Roya all while reviving local traditional knowledge of agroecological farming.
